I had been with my old dentist for many years. Recently he changed his process for treating patents to a very hands off approach and only stopping into the room to say hi. All dental care was left to his hygienist. He didn’t even look at my teeth. I didn’t feel like he cared about his patients any longer. He appeared to only be interested in selling me additional services that I didn’t need. Hence I decided it was time to find a new dentist. My son told me about the wonderful experience he had at Modern Dentistry in Alhambra. He had been treated by Dr. Kaythi and her team, so I called to make an appointment. I was amazed at how efficient and easy it was to schedule my appointment. Immediately following my call, I was sent a link so I could create a “My Chart” (Epic) profile. I use my chart for my medical services, so I was very familiar with the tool and happy that they had made such a beneficial investment for serving their patients. This allowed me to provide the team with my medical history without having to hand write everything the day of my appointment. When I arrived at the office, the staff was very welcoming. I didn’t wait long for the assistant to start my prep work. When I went into the treatment room, the assistant told me that I might get cold and offered me a blanket. I was nice and comfortable. When Dr. Kaythi came in, she was very friendly and professional. She explained the results of my silva test and reviewed my x-rays with me. I had several questions and she was extremely patient and answered all of my questions and concerns. I required a replacement of an old bridge that I had received as a teenager. Rather than sending me home and scheduling another visit, she was able to complete the work in the same visit. I was pleasantly shocked and pleased by the service I was receiving. I am not the easiest dental patient as I had so many bad experiences since childhood. Dr Kaythi made everything painless and was very reassuring throughout the whole process. I am so happy my son recommended her. I will definitely be a long term patient of hers. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new dentist .

Dr. Lu has taught me so much about my teeth that I never learned growing up. I feel great going to her and the entire office is so lovely

10/28/26 This was my first time to come and visit this dental office. I have no dental insurance and Dr.Self and Leslie were able to offer free consultation and exams at no cost to me. They were able to provide dental discounts for me and payment plans if I can't afford it. All the staffs were very professional, attentive, caring, and explained all the procedures to me clearly before the works that I needed to be done on my teeth. The facility was very modern with all the modern technologies and very clean. I had a pleasant experience coming here for the first time. I recommend this Alhambra modern dentistry to everyone.
